Low Profile Antennas AO555* Series
Description
Description
Applications
- TELEMETRY
- COMMAND
- UHF
- VHF TIME CODE
- AQM-37
For telemetry and UHF applications, it is desirable to obtain as omnidirectional a radiation pattern as possible, with no nulls in the pattern aft of the missile. This objective is met with the series AO555-(*) antenna. The antennas are small, lightweight, and can meet extremely high temperature requirements. Their streamlined shape yields very low drag. The antennas may be used in arrays; usually two, mounted diametrically opposite with one always fed 180° out of phase with respect to the other when the ratio of wavelength to missile diameter is greater than one.
