(when the gains of two orthogonal components are known)
- Normalize the gain (dbi) of the larger linear component to 0 db.
- Normalize the gain (dbi) of the smaller linear component by the same factor.
- Enter the smaller normalized gain on the left side of the scale.
- Read the normalized value on the right side of the scale.
- Add the gain (dbi) of the larger linear component to the normalized gain in step 4 to obtain gain above circular isotrope (dbic).
